Reno Mattress

Reno Mattresses are thin flexible cages, which are made of hexagonal double twisted wire mesh. At the project site, gabion mattresses are full of stones to form flexible, permeable, monolithic structures, such as river bank protection and channel linings for erosion control.

Reno mattresses are supplied in various length ,width and height. In Order to strength the Reno mattress, all edges of structure shall be selvedged with wire of greater diameter. The wire mesh used in Reno Mattress productions strictly conforms to EN10223-3 andGabions meets the requirement of ASTM A 975-97. The wire used in Reno mattresses and lacing wire have the tensile strength of 350-550N/mm according to EN102223-3.2 BS 1052/80 and ASTM A641-97Specifications of Reno Mattress.

Reno Mattress or gabion is unfolded and laid on ground. The kinks and creases in the boxes can be easily stamped out and leveled manually. The individual sheets are straightened flat and then systematically folded to form an exact rectangular shape. All the sides of diaphragms are laced  with  wire during lacing procedure.The boxes or group of laced boxes are positioned at the required location to match the structural design accurately.
